Mr Shi and Mr Wong engaged us during the aquisition of Ra Bar and through the comprehensive rebrand to the now iconic  restaurant and bar, Vault 21. We were delighted to take on this exciting project and provided a full-service consultation into the direction of the market, ensuring a clear point of difference amongst the saturated restaurant and bar offerings in Dunedin at the time.

After discussing their vision, a clear brand position was established and we created a target market profile and restaurant concept geared towards upmarket kiwi-asian fusion dining. This flowed on to include a 7 figure expansive refit and earthquake strenghtening of the heritage building.

Our main role however was in the development and implementation of marketing strategy. During the first 3 years of Vault 21’s launch, we oversaw PR and content creation for the venue’s main restaurant dining and nightlife entertainment. We implemented an in-wall digital signage display and provided creative content and imagery, and managed all social media channels.

An exclusive loyalty scheme was also created, designed and produced in-house using stamped metal cards, a first in New Zealand. Other highlights include introducing chilli fried locusts, aka sky prawns, as well as being the bar of choice for big name Dunedin locals like Six60, and the Highlanders.

The AND Hospitality Group has now grown succesfully to be one of the highest rated restaurants in Otago, consistantly winning awards and has expanded to include 3 sister restaurants within Dunedin.
